Quip has released an API for its browser-based word processor that it hopes enterprise developers will use to make the application do more jobs in workplaces. Quip, which is led by former Facebook CTO Bret Taylor, also plans to launch spreadsheet and presentation applications this year so it can offer customers a suite with the three core productivity components.
