Sky Germany launches Sky Sport OTT service in Switzerland

(Telecompaper) Sky Deutschland has confirmed the launch of an OTT sports offer in Switzerland from 17 August, as reported earlier. All sports for which Sky holds the rights in Germany and Austria, such as the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, handball, tennis, Formula 1 and golf, will thus be available for streaming over the Sky Sport service in Switzerland. Sky Sport will cost CHF 19.90 a month or CHF 9.90 for a daily pass.

PCCW OTT secures USD 110 mln in funding from Hony, Foxconn, Temasek

(Telecompaper) PCCW Media has announced that its unit PCCW International OTT has attracted funding from Hony Capital, Foxconn Ventures and Temasek. The three new investors will own around 18 percent of the enlarged issued share capital of PCCW OTT for a total consideration of USD 110 million. PCCW Media will remain the controlling shareholder of PCCW OTT.
