Ground Segment Maintenance Support

You will have the opportunity to provide support to the preparation and followup activities for the Ground Segment maintenance at our clients premises in Prague, Czech Republic. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Integrated Logistic Support ILS Support the definition of the Galileo Ground Segment Integrated Logistic Support ILS concepts, with focus on support to operational sites remote, GCCs, GSMC and others Support the specification of the ILS and obsolescence management HWSW requirements Support the definition of the Galileo ground segment ILS, maintenance all levels and obsolescence concepts Update and elaborate the Galileo ground segment ILS and maintenance requirements baseline Support to the implementation of the activities at the ILS centre Support the review and definition of Inventory control procedures and relevant Asset management plan Support the definition and review of asset audit and inspection plan Support the ILS reporting process and the asset deployment process by contributing to relevant reviews and boards Support GSA in all the ILS control processes in the frame of operational , maintenance and evolutions activities of GSOp contractor Ground segment maintenance Define changes to the Galileo maintenance concepts and requirements in particular as derived from the services provider requirements Elaborating the maintenance concept associated to the Galileo system evolutions Ensure the technical interface with ESA for Ground segment maintenance and its evolution Support operations from anomalies root cause investigation to validation from cradle to grave Review the classification of observation reports, the maintenance reports, and anomalies in view of the preparation of the anomaly review board Define criticalityurgency for anomaly resolution, setting adequate priorities and ensuring and monitoring the timely management by industry of anomalies and nonconformance reports Participate to the Anomaly Review Board and NonConformances Review Board for the Ground Segment related issues Actively support boards and meeting dealing with ILS and maintenance activities Specify the Galileo Ground Segment maintenance requirements Assess the impact of the Ground Segment maintenance activities and its evolutions on Segment qualification status Support GSA in GSOp L1 and L2L3 maintenance activities review and relevant issues or observations Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have University degree in an Engineering discipline. You have at least 3 years experience of contract management or project management Experience with Hardware configuration preferably for hosting sites You know how to manage assets obsolescence, procurement, alerts, etc You have great communication skills relevant for an international environment Experience in writing Technical notes At least level C1 in English understanding, writing and speaking. Ground Segment Systems Engineer 1713086 Job Description We are looking for a Ground Systems Operations Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT. You would will be working within the System Engineering and Projects SEP Division supporting system engineering activities for Operational systems. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary system engineering team interacting with operational programmes and future programmes and will support the SEP Division with the following activities Supporting the specification of Ground Segment components. Supporting the consolidation, evolution and maintenance of the Ground Segment reference architecture. This includes Requirements engineering, including requirements analysis and validation, requirements allocation, tracing and requirements change control Functional analysis and architectureinterface design applying system modelling engineering methods and techniques. System analyses, performed for the purpose of resolving requirements conflicts, decomposing and allocating requirements, assessing system effectiveness. Tradeoff studies for assessing effectiveness, risk, cost and planning for the implementation of changes requested by operations users and customers. Supporting the assessment of impacts to the Ground Segment of changes required for operational systems, resulting from evolution and maintenance activities. This includes Analysing engineering change requests on the operational ground segments Supporting the investigation of anomalies on the ground segment, including the endtoend view and understanding of the systems Coordinating with different teams in order to assess the impact of the requested changes Attending daily operationrelated meetings in order to remain uptodate with the progress of the activities Updating and maintaining related documentation. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline. At least 5 years demonstrated experience in the field of systems engineering and architectural design, maintenance and operations of ground segment systems. Knowledge of the systems making up a ground segment, their interrelations, interactions and understand the implications that making changes in one system have on others. Extensive experience in the analysis of systems applications and modelling. Space and Ground System engineering processes, System and Software lifecycles and standards. Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering methods, techniques and tools. Desirable Skills and Experience Familiarity with formal architecture frameworks e.g., MODAF, TOGAF, DODAF will be a valuable appreciated asset. Definition, management and traceability of requirements with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS. You shall be able to fulfill the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision, have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan hisher work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple parallel tasks. You shall have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. Good communications skills verbal and written are important. The NOC is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to the ESA space missions and its users.
