For our activities in Germany, we are looking for a person to provide MTG Ground Segment Integration, Verification and Validation Consultancy Support. TASKS 1. maintain the GS IVV plans, schedules and verification control documents 2. support the generation, maintenance, review of test specifications and procedures 3. support the identification and development, or procurement, of test tools, and generation of required test data 4. support the preparation, execution, assessment, documentation of tests, including the reporting at relevant test readiness and test review board meetings 5. perform investigations into anomalies and their documentation in anomaly reports, supporting anomaly review board meetings 6. liaise with facility, MME and system teams for the resolution of relevant issues at facility, GS or system level, and the coordination of IVV activities across levels 7. support the facilities procurement and their reviews in the area of IVV 8. perform analysis and assessments of technical issues relevant to the GS IVV activities 9. support the conduct of GS reviews 10. support the Technical Officer of the MTG IVV Support Service in the definition and coordination of the activities to be provided by the service 11. deputize the MTG GS AIV Manager if so requested in his absence SKILLS University degree or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline At least 5 years of experience in the development of satellite monitoring and control systems, andor payload data processing Solid knowledge and expertise in the following areas specification and design of space missions ground segments, their interfaces and dataflows development lifecycles approaches and techniques for integration, verification and validation Expertise in relevant technologies and tools Operating systems UNIXLinux Networking Internet protocols, TCPIP programming, network monitoring Automated software testing Requirements and verification management DOORS Meteorological data formats HDF5, NetCDF, JPEG2000 Programming languages CC, Java, Javascript, XML, Perl, TclTk Software development environments Eclipse Relational databases MySQL, Oracle Good communication and other interpersonal skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team Good command of the English language, spoken and written. Main responsibilities The work includes design, analysis, implementation and testing of radio navigation systems, with emphasis on GNSS security. The tasks supporting GALILEO Security would be the following GALILEO Ground Control Segment GCS Security Integration Verification and Qualification SECIVQ activities test, credit collection and anomalies followup Secure Test campaigns for GCS Qualification and Acceptance Reviews GCS engineering activities and reviews requirements, key point design, Test Readiness and Results, Qualification and Acceptance review of test procedures and reports establishing and maintaining GCS security requirements Ideal candidate As successful candidate you should have a University degree MSc in telecommunications and signal processing or electronic engineering and at least 4 years of experience in these fields. Furthermore you should bring the following Specific knowledge in the design and testing of Radio Navigation systems and equipment Strong knowledge on the design of satellite navigation systems, in addition to GNSS security and processing facilities At least 4 years of experience with the GNSS and GALILEO systems and equipment and good knowledge of Radio Navigation processing, and testing systems Be specialist in the implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation processing and test facilities Must be eligible for security clearance from their national security administration.
