First reports are emerging from Cambodia that a new minimum monthly wage for garment sector workers was agreed today (12 November) - with salaries to rise by 28% from the beginning of next year.

Airlines sue Port of Seattle over minimum wage hike for airport workers

U.S. airlines are suing the Port of Seattle to block planned pay increases for airport workers, in the latest legal battle over efforts to better compensate workers in a state with the highest minimum wage in the country. The Port commission, which runs the Seattle-Tacoma airport, voted in July to hike the wage floor to $11.22 per hour in January 2015 and $13.00 per hour in 2017 for airport employees.

H&M looking to scale up fair living wage scheme

Fast fashion retailer H&M says a year-long pilot into the provision of a fair living wage at three of its supplier factories has yielded "some positive indications" as it prepares to evaluate the first phase of results.
