Power restored to Montebello residents after Sunday night outage

MONTEBELLO >> Electricity was restored Monday to about 200 Southern California Edison customers in Montebello who were without service after an outage that originally affected about 1,121 utility clients. A power outage in Montebello left more than 1,000 residents in the dark Sunday night, but power was restored to all but about 200 customers Monday morning, Southern California Edison said.

More than 100 people filled pews inside the church off Forest Hill Avenue on the city's north side to hear Virginia Tech professor Marc Edwards speak about the study conducted by himself and a group of students. "I'm telling you: this was an epically bad decision," said Edwards of the switch from Detroit water to Flint river water, going back over information he discussed earlier Tuesday during a news conference at Flint City Hall.
