Modis is looking for a skilled Video Conference Technicianfor an opportunity at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands The main tasks to be performed Act as a single point of contact providing technical support on video conference matters. Schedule the planned videoconference meetings into the videoconference system, configuring each meeting in accordance with the requestors wishes. Operating, realtime monitoring and troubleshooting video conferences with a view to resolving observed issues rapidly.a Coordination of test of video conference studios with external entities and recording information and results in the appropriate database. Excute the video conference teams ITIL based processes, e.g. capacity management, problem management and configuration management. Update databases and applications relating to the communications enviroment in use. Provide outofhours video conference support vor special ESA events, such as launches, upon agreement with the Communications Team Supervisor. Maintain understanding of current and new video conferencing technology. Any other related duties, as assigned on an adhoc basis by the team leader or ESTEC ICT Services Manager. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Technical degree BSc. Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years experience. Experience with ITIL andor Prince2. PABXes, VoiceoverIP, mobile telephone technologies. Video Conferencing, preferably the complete Polycom suite of products and services. SAP modules and infrastructure knowledge. Microsoft SQL server and related database applications design, development, operations. Oracle databases as well as SQL and PLSQL language. Windows Server and Client platforms, Mac OS x Server and Client, iOS platforms, Linux platform, virtualisation technologies e.g. Citrix, VMWare. The nontechnical skills Excellent communication skills written, interpersonal, negotiation and telephone communications. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. High senses of rigour, proactive attitude to solving problems. A very good working knowledge of spoken and written English is essential.
