A vacancy for an AIT Quality Assurance Improvement Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. You will ensure the proper implementation of the quality assurance rules and that company industrial processes comply with quality assurance requirements and standards. You will validate the product inspection plan and handle product non conformity up to the productservice delivery to the customer. Quality Assurance process improvement and deployment assess current process, propose improvements, lead pilots, coach and train other QA staff on improved processes, monitor deployment. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Check and assess the implementation of the quality requirements defined by the QMS and quality plan. Check that industrial processes properly comply with quality assurance requirements. Define and ensure implementation of products controls. Lead the nonconformity and waiver treatment, analyse quality non conformity and request for waiver. Monitor corrective and preventive actions, participate in the tailoring of standards. Lead implementation of improved Quality Assurance processes Support improvements of department tools. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Engineering degree with experience in Quality Assurance within the SpaceAerospace industry. Experience of Lean Manufacturing. Experience of Quality Improvement Implementation review of process, tools, gaps etc.. Green Black Belt certification is desirable. Good knowledge of Excel, VBA skills to maintain QA tools. Deployment Implementation of quality initiatives Quest. Evidence of problemsolving skills. Good communication and presentation skills. Ensure the Equipment Qualification Status List is maintained for all equipments. Ensure compliance to product liability legislation. Review and approve the Certificate of Conformity CofC. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in the Space industry. Knowledge of Space Programmes and ECSS standards. Product Assurance Quality Assurance experience on Complex Electronics and Mechanical based systems. EN9100ISO 9001 auditing experience, supplier evaluation and monitoring. Expert user and promoter of quality tools and methods, particularly risk management. Good team worker with strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
