Developer pays $716K back taxes on mill building

One of the largest sums owed the city in back taxes was wiped off the books when the developer who bought the abandoned Franklin Street mill paid the nearly three-quarter million dollar debt earlier this month. Brady Sullivan Properties Inc., of Manchester, paid the $716,345 owed in back taxes and interest on the former Nashua Corp. mill at 34 Franklin St., City Treasurer and Tax Collector David G. Fredette said.

Do keep in mind that the 2005 deal to build a modernized replacement Vanderbilt Yard to store and service Long Island Rail Road trains was revised, at Forest City Ratner's request, in 2009, and accepted by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
