T-Mobile US improves FY outlook after adding 1.4 mln customers in Q1

(Telecompaper) T-Mobile US increased its outlook for full-year growth after solid results in the first quarter. The company added a net 1.0 million postpaid customers in Q1 and said it expects to grow by 2.6-3.3 million over the full year, up from a forecast in February for growth of 2-3 million in 2018.

Charter loses 112,000 TV customers in Q1, revenues still up after price hikes

(Telecompaper) US cable operator Charter Communications reported a net loss of 112,000 TV subscribers in the first quarter. It also lost 25,000 telephony customers, while gaining another 362,000 broadband subscribers. It finished March with a total 27.5 million customers, after net additions of 261,000 in Q1, down from 355,000 in the year-earlier period.

Charter residential video customers down 122,000 in 1Q 2018

Charter Communications has reported results for the three months ended March 31, 2018. Residential video customers decreased by 122,000 in the quarter. As of March 31, 2018, Charter had 16.4 million residential video customers.

Verizon Q1 profit up on tax gains, loses phone customers

(Telecompaper) Verizon reported first-quarter earnings of USD 1.11 per share, up from 84 cents a year ago, helped by the US tax reform and new accounting standards for revenue recognition. Revenues rose 6.6 percent to USD 31.8 billion and were 3.2 percent higher on an organic basis. Wireless service revenues were still down 2.4 percent year-on-year, but Verizon said the result excluding the accounting impact was flat over the quarter and positive in March.
