(Telecompaper) The Nigeria Industrial Policy and Competitiveness Advisory Council, set up in March 2017 and running under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, has commenced initiatives to accelerate the country's industrialisation by installing 18,000km of fibre optic cable nationwide to improve broad band penetration.
Swedish govt confirms SEK 150 mln for rural broadband expansion

(Telecompaper) Swedish Metro Network Association SSNf said the government has commissioned the Board of Agriculture to allocate SEK 150 million in broadband funding to sparsely populated parts of Sweden. This funding is intended to target places with fewer residents particularly, but in other respects, the same rules apply as before as far as granting permit and allocating money are concerned.
