Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. said Tuesday that its revenue and earnings were largely flat in the latest quarter as the sales in the company's banana business were offset by currency headwinds and weather issues. "We are pleased to report solid second-quarter results despite the negative year-over-year exchange rates in Europe and Asia, and weather-related issues that impacted production for some of our products," said Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh, chief executive of the company.
