Antenna Design Engineer MDA is expanding its already successful antenna engineering team, and is looking for intermediate and senior antenna design engineers to work either at its Canadian or UK locations. The candidates will collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop stateoftheart communication antenna to be operated in space or a challenging environment. The candidate will be part of a design team performing RF analyses of antenna system performance, and will use industry standard modeling tools e.g. TICRA to predict performance in the chosen environment, thermal and manufacturing distortion, scattering, as well as coupling with the host vehicle or spacecraft and other antennas. Responsibilities will also involve performing highpower capability assessments of antenna designs e.g. PIM Multipactor and conduct design and customer reviews internal design reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews PDR, Critical Design Reviews CDR to ensure that RF performance requirements are met. In addition they will provide RF support during testing of antenna feed chains and antenna assemblies and will contribute to RD programs and proposals. Competencies Candidate must have a strong Electromagnetic microwave background and experience in the design of spacecraft antennas. Five to ten years experience in the field of spacecraft antenna products e.g. feed chains, reflector antenna systems. Self driven and motivated individual. Education Minimum of B.Sc. or the equivalent in Electrical Engineering. M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred. Competitive benefit package
