There are biotech ETFs on the market, but they are relatively few, with offerings by State Street / SPDR , BlackRock / iShares , Van Eck / Market Vectors and others. On 16 December 2014, the ETF market saw the addition of two more biotechnology ETFs, one of which - BioShares Biotechnology Products ETF - will be the topic of this analysis.1 BBP is offered by LifeSci Index Partners under its BioShares banner and is structured so as to consist of only those biotechnology companies that have actual products on the market.
