Canadian college expels student for white hat security probing

After finding a security flaw in the student management software his college was using, he reported the problem. At first the college and the software company were pleasant, but after Al-Khabaz checked back to see if the exploit was fixed, legal threats were made. The student signed an NDA, and he was swiftly expelled from college.
