Casino rebuts Muddy Waters's claims

Casino Groupe SA rejected accusations leveled at the French supermarket operator by short-selling firm Muddy Waters LLC in a lengthy response filed Monday to the French market regulator. Casino said a research report issued by Muddy Waters last week "contains a number of false and misleading allegations, intended to negatively impact the trading prices of Casino's stock and debt, for the benefit of the report's author."
