Designed to work under harsh operating conditions, cast coil transformers are available in ratings through 3,000 kVA with thermal insulation ratings up to class C (220°C). Cast resin design promotes short circuit strength and overload capacity coupled with fire safety. Manufactured with core of grain-oriented magnetic steel, transformers feature coils made of laminated foils and pre-impregnated with epoxy resin to promote coil insulation and mechanical strength.
