Economic Times: India's intended nationally determined contribution, or INDC, to combating climate change is out. By 2030, it will reduce the amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit of GDP by 33-35% from its 2005 levels, increase the share of nonfossil fuels to 40% of total generation capacity; and increase its forest and tree cover to create an additional carbon sink for 2.5-3 billion tonnes carbon dioxide-equivalent.
