Climate change: The Guardian recently published a scorching piece by Bill McKibben raging against Exxon Mobil, which McKibben claims "knowingly ... helped organize the most consequential lie in human history," following the revelation by their own scientists that fossil fuels would create disastrous changes in climate. McKibben says Exxon Mobile organized and funded a campaign of disinformation and doubt: " t seems crucial simply to say, for the record, the truth: This company had the singular capacity to change the course of world history for the better and instead it changed that course for the infinitely worse.
