The tail lights of cars and trucks are all that remain visible as they drive past an oil and gas operation outside of Windsor earlier this year. The Colorado Legislature's recent decision to move $20 million in severance tax dollars to the state's general fund in the wake of mandatory tax refunds for residents has drawn concern and displeasure from Weld County municipalities such as Windsor that would have otherwise received the funds.
