Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Remote Sensing and Products Division, you will have the following responsibilities Specification and prototyping of new processing concepts for altimeter processing chains, in particular addressing Synthetic Aperture RadarDelayed Doppler altimetry Specification and prototyping of evolutions of the altimeter processing chains Contributing to operational processor evolution and maintenance activities Validation of altimetry prototype and operational products Quality assessment and monitoring of altimetry products Supporting the commissioning and calval of altimetry missions. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline 5 years of relevant experience Experience in algorithm development for operational Earth Observation missions Experience in scientific coding on Unixbased platforms in C, C, or Fortran Detailed knowledge of established altimeters, e.g. ERS12 RA, Envisat RA2, CryoSat SIRAL, SARALAltiKa, Jason123, Sentinel3 SRAL, etc. Experience with DelayDoppler Synthetic Aperture Radar altimetry techniques Experience in processing, analysis, and calval of altimeter data Experience with operational scientific data processing implementations would be an advantage Experience in interfacing with scientific organizations and user communities would be an advantage Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
