GENERAL CONDITIONS START January 2020 LOCATION Toulouse, France TYPE OF BUSINESS Aerospace CONTRACT Fulltime Employment WORKING LANGUAGE English DEADLINE 07.11.2019 MUSTHAVE SKILLS University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with proven experience in applications of remote sensing technologies. The key person must have good team working skills, be able to work autonomously, and have good analytical skills. The variety of the tasks and the scope of the systems to be supported require also very good communication and presentation skills combined with the ability to perform under high workloads. The key person shall have skills and handson experience in the following mandatory areas o System engineering processes, covering the full development lifecycle and in monitoring and implementation of designs against requirement baselines and IVV, including testing and formal acceptance o Good working knowledge in both French and English o Good interpersonal and communication skills, allowing to work within a multidisciplinary and international context with various teams. NICETOHAVE SKILLS Payload Data Processing in Meteorological andor Earth Observation ground segment systems Data Processing orchestrators Big Data technologies, in particular Kafka and Storm TASKS Interact closely with the PDAP, DPI, and PGFs Suppliers by Being the local interface to provide Client with a continuous oversight of the Suppliers activities, including the following ones o Software development e.g. team workload and efficiency, adherence to Quality Assurance procedures and working practices, resolution of technical issues, in particular for the DPI and the PGFs developed under the PDAP Contract o Management e.g. status and progress assessment, schedule control, WP management, progress report preparation o Acceptance of subsystems e.g. reception of subcontractors deliveries, incoming inspections, production of test reports Contributing to provide technical clarifications to the PDAP, DPI and PGFs Suppliers on the Client expectations relevant to the Data Processing system under development, including requirements to be fulfilled and testing aspects. Contractors contributions to technical clarifications shall be first discussed and agreed with Client before being communicated to the Suppliers. Outputs Recommendations for updates to the PDAP Risk Register, List of Open Issues, Actions, PDAP andor DPI andor PGFs Schedule, PDAP andor DPI andor PGFs Trackers, etc. Attend Integration and Testing activities Attend, as requested, to Integration and Testing activities of the Data Processing systems under development, including the Data Processing Infrastructure DPI, the L1L2 Products Generation Functions PGFs, whether held at the PDAP or DPI Suppliers premises in Toulouse, at the PGFs Suppliers premises, or at the Client Headquarters in Darmstadt. Outputs Test Status Reports covering any observation made by the Contractor when attending the integration and testing activities. Participate to Technical Management Meetings Technical meetings related to data processing systems, including the PGFs related ones Weekly PDP andor DPI andor PGFs Suppliers meetings Weekly Client EPSSG PDP Team meeting Biweekly Client EPSSG PDAP Team meeting 6weekly PDP Progress Meetings held between the PDAP and PDP suppliers 6weekly PDAP Progress Meetings held between Client and the PDAP Supplier Other meetings, as necessary and as agreed by Client. Outputs Summary of meetings covering any observation made by the Contractor when attending the meetings identified above. Participate in Review of Documentation Analyse and comment, the Progress Reports associated to the PDAP and PDP related Progress Meetings Review PDAP Suppliers documentation related to the Data Processing system under development, including Design, Compliance Matrices, and IVV related documentation Review Client documentation dealing with concepts and technical analyses of relevance for Data Processing systems Followup associated actions or review activities. Outputs Inputs in preparation to Progress Meetings Analyses Report presenting substantiated comments, Review Item Discrepancies RIDs, issues, and recommended actions to be undertaken to resolve any issue identified
