Development Engineer Optical Products mf Start date and duration Start date a.s.a.p. one year contract with option to extend for an additional period. Client and Location For one of our clients we are currently recruiting for a Development Engineer Optical Products mf for their location in Munich, Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry, specialized in the development of diverse space applications. Tasks and Responsibilities In this position you will support the department Optical Systems and you will have the possibility to work on international projects to develop advanced solutions for space. Responsibility as Technical Supply Manager TSM for optical subsystems and components for present and future European and German space projects Definition and conduction of trade studies to support optical design decisions Definition technical specifications for optical systems, subsystems and equipment Define, build and test specific EGSEs Coordination and Cooperation with suppliers and vendors Definition of optical verification, integration and alignment strategies, and establishment of error budgets Close cooperation with other technical disciplines mechanical design, thermal structural engineering, systems engineering, Assembly Integration Test Responsible for the technical interface to technical managers, customers and subcontractors. Experience and education University degree or equivalent qualification in optics, physics, engineering or related technical discipline with at least 5 years of professional experience in industry Good knowledge in the field of optics with expertise in fabrication and mounting of components such as mirrors, lenses, coatings for applications in the field of telescopes, spectrometers and interferometers Good knowledge of the relevant European industry suppliers of optical components and subsystems Excellent interpersonal, oral written communication skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, multicultural and multilanguage team Ability to quickly establish rapport, build trust, and develop excellent working relationships with other team members, customers and vendors System and Processoriented thinking.
