DirecTV stockholders approve proposed merger with AT&T

(Telecompaper) At a special meeting held on 25 September, DirecTV stockholders voted overwhelmingly to approve DirecTV's proposed merger with AT&T. The final voting results indicate that more than 99 percent of votes cast were in favour of the adoption of the merger agreement, representing 77 percent of all outstanding shares.
