Without requiring blood or urine samples, METRON® Breath Ketone Test uses 30-sec breath test to determine if acetone levels therein reach 5 ppm. This number correlates with blood ketone concentration threshold of 0.5 mmol/L, which indicates ketogenic state. Based on MPC® Biosensor technology, 5 ¼ in. long hand-held diagnostic device provides color-based (purple/pink versus light tan/yellow) indication in <3 min.
