Providing up to 4,000 lb of precision clamping force, DoveLock™ holds parts without distorting workpiece while providing access to 5 surfaces of workpiece. Unit is built from pre-hardened 4140 steel for rigidity with ½ in. movable jaw stroke, max jaw opening of 1.688 in., and overall stroke of .500 in. Embedded locating pin maintains part location accuracy when applying side load pressure. When under high machining pressure, deflection and clamp creep is minimized by vise design.
