This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. End to End Ground Systems Integration Testing Engineer 1923028 Job Description We are looking for an Integration and Testing Engineer specializing in End to End Ground Systems. You will join a team in the E2EGSRF facility responsible for the integration and testing of ground segment elements e.g. MC systems, ground station components etc., throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, from supplier to enduser. The E2EGSRF facility is also where critical mission tests, e.g. RF compatibility tests between sc and ground stations, are performed from. Additionally, integration and testing of ground segment components, standards and technologies takes place at any maturity stage, allowing assessment, confidence building and risk reduction for target customer missions. The E2EGSRF is also intended as a platform for Independent Verification and Validation, both at ground segment subsystem and system level, if required. You will work in a team to support the Endtoend Integration and Testing activities by providing integration and test services for ground s systems in the End to End Ground Segment Reference Facility. The main tasks to be accomplished according to applicable standards and guidelines by the service providers are Test Environment Definition of test environment and test data Support to the definition and deployment of the different test assemblies and configuration Support the investigation of test failures Troubleshooting of identified problems Verification of problem resolution after correction patch, upgrade Ground Systems i.e. ground station systems, data systems Support the deployment of newpatched systems Support the coherent configuration of the different systems Support industry and internal customers Provision of operational and technical expertise Tools Usage of the SDE to record test plans and reports Usage of Sharepoint to keep configuration control of the EDLab documentation Test plan Complement, update, adapt existing generic mission representative test cases Design and document new test cases Execution of tests Support test automation Documentation Provision of test plans, test reports Maintenance of the test plan Issue SPRs and support Software Review Board meetings Maintain and update databases Provide regular activity reports Required Skills and Experience Understanding and accurately prediction of behaviour of Ground Segment systems Capability to organise, prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Familiarity with relevant ground segment systems and associated test environment Familiarity with relevant programmingscripting languages e.g. C, Java, Python Experience in spacecraft operations Desirable Skills and Experience Experience with mission or infrastructure data systems Experience with Network Data Interface Units Experience with ground station systems Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 29 May 2019 Start of Work July 2019 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
