Description of the job Are you a passionate CAD designer who has commercial Design Office Drawing Office experience? Are you looking to work on interesting on detailed designs? Looking to design products that will go into space? Interested in either learning or furthering your CATIA skills? Then this is the role for you! As a Design Engineer you will be producing all the necessary design office tasks on specific projects so that the Mechanical Design Office can contribute to delivering the project on time, on cost, on schedule and on quality. You will be joining a Project team of up to 5 people who are part of dept of 70 and MDO Group of 20. We are looking for someone with CAD or CATIA experience and we are happy to train you into CATIA V6. Tasks accountabilities The production of drawings, models, assembly models, Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Notes, emails, memos related to the Configured items for the allocated projects as delegated by the Lead DO Engineer. The control, configuration, correctness, accuracy and relevance of all drawings, models, Assembly Models, DMU model, VPM models, Bill of Materials and Engineering Change notes related to the Configured Items for the allocated projects to cost, schedule and quality as specified by the Lead DO Engineer. All the project D.O. outputs must be self checked and signed to the checklists and CATIA procedures. These outputs are to be recorded through the DO Task Sheets. Support to other general DO activities i.e. process improvements, bid etc. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required skills CAD experience, we are happy to train to V6 level Commercial experience in designing structure components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate design tools. Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements for a single subsystem equipment component module Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including parttime.
