Used for point-of-care (POC) tobacco use detection, PTS Detect™ measures quantified cotinine levels from fingerstick over 25–200 ng/ml range within 5 min. Handheld medical device measures levels from all products that contain nicotine, eliminates need to employ phlebotomists as well as shipping of specimens to laboratory, and minimizes need for confirmatory tests. Fingerstick collection can be done in conjunction with other onsite screenings.
