YOUR TASKS The primary areas of responsibility for this service are Orbit Determination, Prediction, Control and Products Generation for Earth Orbiting Missions. Example missions for the service include Sentinel6, Aeolus, Swarm and Cryosat. The general activities to be supported by the service depend on the phase of the mission and include Orbit Determination and Prediction Tracking data retrieval Processing of tracking data Determination and prediction of spacecraft orbital state Performance Analysis Analysis of orbit predictions accuracy and Covariance analysis Execution of and support to operational tasks Orbit Control Optimization of orbit control manoeuvres Optimization of collision avoidance manoeuvres Performance Analysis Orbit Control performance, propulsion system characterization Execution of and support to operational tasks Products Generation Generation of orbit related products such as orbit event prediction and antenna pointing elements Generation of products related to manoeuvre optimization cycle Product transfer across Ground Segment Systems Flight Dynamics System Development Maintenance cycle of the Flight Dynamics Infrastructure in the areas of orbit determination, prediction, control and products generation Reporting of issues and required modifications, Implementation and testing, following configuration control procedures and Operational deployment of new versions of the Flight Dynamics System Development of software tools to conduct specific Mission Analysis studies Participation in Flight Dynamics System integration tests Generation and maintenance of operational procedures Flight Dynamics SubSystem operational configuration Coordination of internal and external interfaces and activities across subsystems New Flight Dynamics System Development Identification of Flight Dynamics System functionalitiesalgorithms for porting to a new System based on C orbit software libraries Design and development of a User Interface for the new Flight Dynamics System in the areas of Orbit Determination, Prediction, Products generation and Automation General Flight Dynamics operations engineering activities. YOUR PROFILE Key personnel proposed for the service shall have good skills in the following fields Experience in developing, maintaining and operating Orbit Determination and Control software for Earth Orbiting Missions Knowledge of space environment modelling for Low Earth Orbits ECSS standards Familiarity with CCSDS standards ODMs, CDM and NDM Experience in FORTRAN, Python, C and shell scripting Experience with operational Orbit Determination tools NAPEOS and manoeuvre optimisation tools MANTRA used at ESOC is an advantage Experience in writing documentation Technical notes Software design and implementation documentation Interface definitions for other ground segment teams WE OFFER With SCISYS you get the chance to take responsibility for your own and varied professional activities, while there is always room for producing new ideas and contributing your personality.
