General Mills quietly breaks up organic and frozen food divisions

General Mills Inc. has reduced the number of business units in its U.S. retail operation from seven to five. General Mills has disbanded two major segments of its domestic retail business - frozen foods and its natural and organic division, Small Planet Foods - and subsumed their brands into other parts of the company.
