When Jerry Beard, office manager for booking tickets at Niswonger Performing Arts Center, told Dot Burley that he needed a reliable volunteer to help assist on Fridays, she didn't have to think twice about it. Burley had retired in 2001 after many years of service in the principal's office at Van Wert High School.
