Gov. Corbett stops in Spring Grove, announces Glatfelter grants

Gov. Tom Corbett was in Spring Grove this morning where he announced the award of a $5-million Economic Growth Initiative Grand and a $3-million Alternative and Clean Energy Grant to Glatfelter to support the conversion of the Spring Grove mill to natural gas to fuel its boilers. In addition to the grant, Glatfelter will spend $55 million of its own funds in the mill to include continued employment for 850 employees as well as reduce emissions and eliminate 5,000 heavy truck trips annually throughout the area.
