JOB DESCRIPTION This vacancy is to in the activities of Ground Segment AIV Assembly, Integration and Validation that are carried out in the frame of Galileo Ground Mission Segment. This includes Follow up of the actions allocated to the different stakeholders Ground Segment, OPS, System, ILS Input for preparation of the agenda selecting the most critical anomalies Check of the status of the Anomaly Reports ARs including their closure by successful test by OPS operational validation Follow up and evaluation of workarounds proposed by Segment prime while anomalies are being corrected Follow up of the configuration of the deployed ground segment in both OPE and VAL chains Contribute to various reporting to upper management on status of GMS, AIV and infrastructure deployed in GCCs and remote sites. Contribute to Segment Qualification by providing confirmation that requirements have been correctly verified by the test runs Support delivery of new releases of the Segment DRB Delivery Review Board Support the System Verification activities Liaison with OPS Qualifications Aerospace engineering Required knowledge More than 5 years of demonstrated experience working in integrationverification of large, distributed ground segments, preferably in space, aircraft, or military projects. Experience in Satellite Navigation, Galileo project and its Ground Segment. Good IT knowledge of modern clientserver system, network security functions. Endtoend knowledge of complex data processing and real time systems. Proven experiences with IT systems, RT OS and IP networks, MS Office Tools, requirements management and integrationverification. Good knowledge of operational environment and of needs of operators Experience at system level, System thinking Desirable Knowledge Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Some experience dealing with security environment. Capability for frequent travelling within Europe The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.
