Are you an experienced Operations Engineer looking to join an evolving and dynamic environment within an international space organisation? If so, Europes Meteorological Satellite Agency EUMETSAT would love to hear from you. This is a challenging role offering variety and personal development, you will be coordinating the routine operations as well as supporting the future evolution of the EUMETSAT Ground Stations and externally provided ground station services. Working within a growing team of 46 engineers, you will act as deputy to the Ground Stations Team Manager. This is an interfacing role so you should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Along with a University degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject, candidates shall ideally have the following skillsexperience. Proven experience of ground station operations in a 247 realtime spacecraft operations environment Proven experience in the procurement, development, verification and validation of ground stations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to apply these to interactions within a team and between teams Experience of technical team andor project management Experience in international cooperation with external entities will be considered an advantage Familiarity with ground segment systems procurement andor developments is highly desirable. All applicants must be a EUMETSAT member state national with a good working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, a knowledge of French would be considered advantageous.
