Hewlett-Packard was nearing a deal to acquire Computer Sciences Corp. last month until the talks broke down, people with knowledge of the matter said. The purchase of Computer Sciences, which has a market value of about $9.6 billion compared with Hewlett-Packard's $61 billion, would've been the biggest for HP since 2011.
