Hwy 28 in Jones Co. reopens after dam breach

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality said the failing dam in West Jones County was likely caused by animals. "It looks like there has been beaver activity, or some kind of animal burrowing activity in the dam where there is a cavern that has opened up, and water has flowed through that cavern pretty slowly," said Dusty Myers, MDEQ Chief of Dam Safety.
