Whirlpool has shown strong earnings growth and trades at a more reasonable P/E ratio than Electrolux in terms of valuation. While competition will increase given Electrolux's acquisition of GE Appliances worth $3.3 billion, I see Whirlpool as being able to generate a stronger and organic brand image in emerging markets.
