Objective To be accountable for the full provision of IT capability and the technical implementation of all phonecommunication capability in support of all functional areas. Responsibilities Duties The ICT Manager will manage the deployment of UK ICT resources on a day to day basis to ensure that the UK ICT capability is able to deliver an agreed UK standalone ability and robust interfaces to capabilities hosted elsewhere. The ICT Manager will coordinate with international ICT colleagues, who have crossgroup ICT coordination and governance responsibilities, to ensure smooth functioning of all the UK ICT including project ICT systems. The ICT Manager will ensure that the ICT architecture matches Finmeccanica governance, Finmeccanica UK governance, Telespazio Italy integration governance, and enables Telespazio Vega UK ICT to meet ISO27001 UK Government Official governances. The UK ICT Manager is responsible for the provision and development of VEGAs ICT for the UK, including but not limited to Ensuring that acceptable service levels are maintained across all systems. Communicating ICT matters to the user community, e.g. for any system failures within the business, inform users ASAP, engage with relevant resources to solve issue, issue periodic updates on progress, inform senior management if major business impact. Developing and mentoring the ICT Team to improve service delivery through improved knowledge and methodologies. Development of the ICT infrastructure and Applications in line with business requirements and project needs. Assisting with the development of annual budget information and requirements. Ensuring that all ICT assets are controlled and software is correctly licensed. Maintaining support agreements and liaising with the companys ICT suppliersconsultants as required. Liaising with all areas of the business to understand current and future requirements, prepare plans, and implement costeffective change programmes where appropriate. Analysing the companys existing IT systems and models and producing recommendations and solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of the business. Running workshopstraining for Applications, Desktop environment, ICT tools etc. Ensuring maintenance of the ICT business continuity disaster recovery plans and efficient backup. Management reporting Responsibilities include the formal security officer tasks which may be delegated Security clearances of all staff, application of ICT security policies, audit and accreditation as appropriate. Security aspects of the companyproject websites which may be hosted internally or externally. Qualifications Experience Proven team leadership track record Technical capability in at least one of infrastructure, networks, firewallICT security Solid working knowledge of budgeting and planning Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams Essential Skills Ability to lead, plan and manage change Excellent interpersonal, communications, reporting and presentation skills Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies A proven track record of integrity Ability to handle difficult situations whilst under pressure Qualities Driven, proactive and can take the initiative Resilient and focused Team player who can interface at all levels within Telespazio VEGA and Telespazio and with our partners and customers Further Details All roles within Telespazio VEGA have a defined closing date, however if a successful candidate is found before the advert expires the role will be closed early.
