Responsibilities Duties The Engineer will provide support to the TPZVD ICT Support Team in the delivery of ICT services to multiple clients. The work shall include analysis of the requirements design, integration, validation and documentation of ICT solutions level 3 support for incidents and problems. Possible participation to the oncall rota. Qualifications Experience A university degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent At least 5 years experience as ICT Engineer, in a customer facing role. The successful candidate will have strong goaloriented and planning capabilities, coupled with very good problemsolving skills and a pronounced customer focus. Strong communication and collaboration skills, be able to work in a diverse team environment and accomplish goals in line with team objectives. Experience operating critical IT infrastructure environments, working in mixed operating system and database environments, managing technical service transition, creation and maintenance of support documentation. Interesting to learn and dealing with modern technologies. Essential Skills Expert knowledge and extensive experience in Data Protection Solutions, Storage Area Networks SAN, Backup and Archive technologies. Demonstrated experience with design and implementation of the following highly available systems IBM Spectrum Protect TSM and TSM4VE IBM AIX Virtualization technologies like VMware, IBM Power VM, PowerVC, HMC, VIO Backup and archive based on IBM TSM Solid work experience with Linux OS RHEL, SLES and derivatives, system administration and customization Demonstrated ability to have completed complex technical projects. An advancedlevel command of English and an ability to present output in a clear, concise and understandable way, both orally and in writing Proactive approach and take ownership of problems. Ability to manage assigned activitiestasks in line with deadlines. Requirements analysis and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently Desirable Skills BackupRecovery technologies like Veritas NetBackup or equivalent, and automated tape libraries systems like StorageTek SL8500 series with ACSLS controller. Implementation of archive solutions using Hierarchical Storage Management HSM system SAMFS or equivalent SystemService Monitoring using Nagios Conduct research on Storage related products, services and standards in support of development activities. ITIL qualified or experience working within an ITIL framework Good knowledge of scripting languages bash, perl, awk and similar Proposing ideas, participating in designing and implementing of critical IT infrastructure changes.
