Illinois manufacturer sued for firing Miami employee battling cancer

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against IDEX Corp. for what it says was discrimination against its former Miami-based regional manager. According to a 10-page complaint from the EEOC, Gregorio Reyes was IDEX's regional manager of the Caribbean and Eastern Mexico from October 2007 until December 2011, when he was told his position had been removed.
