In run-up to Tokyo Olympics, KDDI tests translation system for tourist taxis in Tottori

Major mobile phone carrier KDDI Corp. has started testing a translation system in taxis for foreign tourists in the city of Tottori. To put the system into commercial use, the carrier is planning to collect more data, partly through a survey of the taxi drivers and foreign nationals who use them.
