Our client is seeking an Information and communication Technology IT Operations and System Engineer to support the Galileo Project office in the Operations of the Galileo System, with focus on the ICT infrastructure. Typical duties will include Review the process of the Galileo ICTrelated contracts Technical definition, implementation and validation of the operational KPIs. Monitoring of the GDDN service provision SLA preparation and validation of operational procedures for interfacing with the external service providers. Production and review of the IT aspects of the applicable ICDs. Support the Galileo Configuration Control Processes in IT areas. Followup of IT related Anomalies ARs, NCRs and Resolution process. System integration and verification activities with focus on IT. This role will support the Galileo Office during the development, validation, integration and operations of the endtoend communication system GDDN, xNE and associated MC system with focus on the Galileo Data Dissemination Network GDDN and will include Following the development, validation and transition to operation of new communications links as well as the required migration processes, ensuring their timely availability for the meet the project development plans and coordinating with the segments in the provision of an endtoend ICT solution for the Galileo system. The successful candidate will have significant experience in technical IT Communication and Computer Systems operations and engineering with proven experience in IT service Delivery. All applicants should have demonstrated experience in Configuration Change and Anomaly management along with demonstrated experience in Service transition andor Service design process. All considered candidates will have excellent communication skills along with the ability and capability to manage complex and potentially stressful tasks. They will be well organised, selfstarters who can prioritise and manage several tasks in parallel. All applicants must be fluent in English, both oral and written and be educated to a minimum of degree level in Informatics or an equivalent qualification in the IT domain. This role requires frequent travel within Europe.
