For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities The Infrastructure Engineer shall provide support to the development and maintenance of the operational infrastructure supporting the EUMETSATs programmes. The duties range from gathering requirements from the users, design, implementation and testing of infrastructure solutions. The main areas covered by the infrastructure engineer are planning of rooms and racks layout, power and cooling budget, physical installation of racks, equipment and cable plants. Requirements Apart from a relevant university degree, the key person should have the following background Racks installation, cable laying and equipment installation and testing. In particular the key person must have recent and practical experience of connecting and testing fiber cables Electrical power distribution infrastructure Installation and pointing of antennas Server rooms layout design with support of DCIM tool Technical Drawing software packages Application procedure Important All applicants must hold a current valid work permit for Germany or be EU nationals.
