Illinois Tool Works CEO E. Scott Santi and wife Nancy paid $6.1 million last month for a four-bedroom, 6,350-square-foot vintage mansion on Lake Michigan in Winnetka. Santi, who became Glenview-based Illinois Tool Works' CEO in late 2012, earned total compensation of just under $12 million in 2014, according to the firm's most recent proxy statement.
