Joy Global 3Q profits down 61%

Joy Global Inc., which makes mining equipment, announced that its profits decreased by 61 percent for the third-quarter of 2014. Joy Global Inc. fell short of analysts' consensus earnings expectations for the fiscal third quarter as the company downgraded the high end of its revenue and earnings estimates based on U.S. coal production cutbacks and political unrest in the Ukraine, according to a press release from the company.
