PG&E's attempt to remove from its federal criminal trial all references to a fatal explosion of natural gas in San Bruno has been denied by a U.S, District Court judge, just weeks after the anniversary of the disaster. As a result, references to the San Bruno explosion will remain part of the indictment and the case against PG&E, which could lead to a fine of $1.13 billion.
