Junior Spacecraft Operations Engineer

You will have the opportunity to provide Earth Observation Spacecraft Operations Engineering service support and you will be assigned initially to preoperational Sentinels missions within the Earth Observation mission division i.e. not linked to Copernicus COP1 operational phases. This position is based in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Satellite Operations Validation, test and operation of the MCS, including the Mission Planning System. Validation, test and operation of the Simulator Generation, validation and maintenance of the FOP in the volumes indicated by the TR initially platform PowerThermalTTC area, but also for other subsystems Support for FOS procurement, integration and tests Participation in System Validation Tests SVT, Ground Segment Validation GSV and Training and Simulations programme Review of satellite documents Participation to preoperational activities LEOP andor Commissioning operations as required Ground Operations Collection of information data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports. Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels NDIU CORTEX and Lite. Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels MUST and GFTS servers. Routine Mission plan generation supportchecking, as required Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have initial experience 12 years in working in an operational environment You have initial experience 12 years with flight procedures life cycle, including validation. You have initial experience 12 years with Packet Utilisation Standard You have initial experience 12 years in ground tests preparation and execution, e.g. SVTs and GSVs You have good experience with office automation tools, including MSEXCEL and MSACCESS You possess some programming experience, possibly with Visual Basic andor SQL You have initial experience 12 years with anomaly investigations at Ground Segment level You are familiar with operational simulators, ideally SimSat 12 years You are familiar with satellite control systems, ideally SCOS2000 12 years You have initial experience with low Earth orbit satellites operations 12 years, ideally including experience in preparatory phase OPSPREP and special operations LEOP, simulations campaign, Commissioning You are wellorganised, proactive, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel You are capable of coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing The following skills would be highly desirable You possess Spacecraft Flight Operations knowledge, in particular for the PowerThermalTTC subsystems You have experience 12 years with anomaly investigations at Spacecraft level You are familiar with Network Distribution and Interface Units or similar EGSE equipment You are familiar with MUST and GFTS You are familiar with TMTC databases, preferably SCOS2000 compatible How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
