Your opportunity to become part of a revolutionary UK Space Agencyfunded project using satellite data to streamline agriculture practices in Uganda. Your will be working on the development of a Drought Flood Mitigation System and in future other potential RHEA projects. The current project is headed by RHEA working together with different project partners consisting of commercial companies, NGOs and governmental organisations. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Develop excellent software for use in field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and more Collaborate with other programmers and developers throughout the development process Autonomously design and implement highquality web based applications, RESTful APIs, and 3rd party integration Implement code that conforms to performance and security standards Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Bachelors or masters in computer science, mathematics, or a related field At least one year of commercial software development experience using the languages required Go programming language Python or passion to learn it Cloud AWS andor Azure andor Google Cloud andor Rackspace Database PostgreSQL OS Linux Ideally in addition Strong programming skills and Computer Science fundamentals The desire to learn, improve and work together Sense of humour How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
