NEW DELHI: MawanaSugars, one of the pioneers of branding in the commodity market, has approached the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) for a revival plan after losses eroded more than half of the company\'s net worth. The losses were inevitable after \"illogical\" government policies made the sugar business unviable, a top company official said.
